Frequently asked questions
What is the Kingston Public Market and the Kingston Sunset Market all about?
The Kingston Public Market (KPM) and The Kingston Sunset Market (KSM) is dedicated to supporting local artisans, growers, and small businesses by gathering our community together in the heart of Kingston, WA.
We want KPM and KSM to be a fun, welcoming, and inviting Market to both Vendors and Guests. It is our goal to bring our community together!
Market Season & Hours
The 2026 KPM season runs from May 10 through October 11 at Mike Wallace Park in Kingston, WA. It operates on Sundays from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm with occasional “special event” extended hours
The KSM operates on the first Saturday of the month from May 2 through October 3 at the Kiwanis Park from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Due to July 4th being on a Saturday, the July date will be July 11th. Dates and times are subject to change. All Vendors will be given ample notification.
Applying to KPM
Vendors interested in participating in the Kingston Public Market must complete an application through Manage My Market (https://www.managemymarket.com). Once submitted, the Board of Directors will assign a jury committee to review all applications. Applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial within two weeks of the review date.
While KPM gives preference to returning vendors in good standing, acceptance is not guaranteed.
All applications are subject to jury review and will be evaluated based on several factors, including but not limited to: product quality, booth presentation, customer demand, and overlap with similar vendors.
New applicants—or returning vendors offering a new category of products—must include photographs with their application.
Accepted vendors will be notified via email and will be required to submit all pertinent documents through Manage My Market prior to the start of the market season.
KPM and KSM carry liability insurance that covers people for personal injury while they are on the Market site. In addition, all KPM and KSM Vendors are required to carry a current general liability policy.
The policy limit should be a minimum of 1 million per occurrence with a 2 million aggregate limit that does not exclude products. Each Vendor policy needs to list The Kingston Public Market as an additional insured or contain a blanket additional insured endorsement.
All Vendors must provide the Market with a Certificate of Insurance (COI) confirming coverage prior to their first day at the Market. Vendors will not be allowed to participate without proper insurance coverage. Need help? Contact the Market Manager.
There are several companies who offer artist and/or farmers’ Market insurance out there. Our insurance company has provided a couple of links that have KPM pre-listed as the secondary insured party: ACT Artist & Crafter Insurance and FLIP Farmers' Market Insurance.
Two additional resources to check out are NEXT Insurance and Thimble Farmers' Market Insurance. If you can’t access the links or need help navigating the options, contact the Market Manager.
Fees
The Board of Directors sets all fees for participation in the Kingston Public Market. These fees may be adjusted periodically and are established to balance several key factors: the cost of market operations, support for vendors, and local market conditions.
There are several fee options to choose from for KPM. All options include an annual Membership Fee which is used to pay for musicians, advertising, and book special events. Additionally, Membership Fees allow KPM to avoid charging a commission on sales. Membership Fees will be assessed at time of Vendor Approval/Selection of Dates and charged on May 1, 2026 or before your first market date. All pricing reflects a single booth space. Larger booth spaces are available.
